ART

As an experiment we have kindly donated some RECEMAT metal foam to artistic students to enable them to use it in their work.

Femke van der Zee Netherlands

Artistic objects

Mrs. Femke van der Zee has used RECEMAT metal foam to produce artistic objects like a lamp. The artist has bent a strip of RCM-NC-0610,10, She melted tags of transparent glass onto the metal foam surface. By placing colour changing LEDs at the backside of the half cylindrical column, she succeeded in getting a most exciting play of light, glittering enomously.

We have received some photo's of her results.

Ineke Segers, Netherlands

Mrs. Ineke Segers has made a maquette for an architectural work piece of two work/living rooms situated in a narrow alley between rock formations. RECEMAT metal foam RCM-NCX-1723.04 strip has been used to make the nice curved form. The metal foam, with its greyish look simulates concrete. Also used by the artist for its silverish appearance: stainless strip.
